Advocacy NGOs spread grass GM scare, but facts prevail

CBS news reporter, Alix Bryan posted a story about a herd of cattle in Elgin, Texas supposedly poisoned by cyanide linked to a “genetically-modified” form of Bermuda grass that had apparently spontaneously mutated and was generating the poison. It was a major reporting blunder as the grass was a classic non-GM hybrid variety. But you wouldn’t know it from the scare headlines on activist “consumer” sites that still remain up. Literally thousands of them picked up the original botched story and other mis-reported hysteria-grams posted by the “Natural Society,” “The Inquistr” and other dedicated anti-GM sites.
