Canada: Growers say survey shows consumers oppose GM

Orchardists in Okanaga say they have all the evidence they need to fight the introduction of GM fruit.  A national survey seems to show that 69% of the 1,501 people who responded are not in favour of a genetically engineered apple.  “We are not in favour of genetically modified food because of the market risk,” said Glen Lucas, B.C. Fruit Growers Association general manager.
