In a recent interview with Democracy Now!, Pollan warns that United States risks falling into a “two-class food system,” where only those who can afford to live outside the industrial food system can access healthy ways to eat. Pollan also charges that Monsanto’s lobbying influence in Washington and in state legislatures is preventing a debate about GMO labeling.
