Scientists identify stability proteins that maintain telomere length

Scientists have functionally dissected the molecular processes that ensure the stability of chromosomes. They show how three proteins interact on the repetitive sequences at the chromosomal ends (the telomeres) to form the powerful protein scaffold that is required for telomere homeostasis.
