Massachusetts public hearing set on three GMO labeling bills

The following is an excerpt.

A hearing has been scheduled to allow the public to offer testimony on three bills before the Massachusetts Legislature related to the labeling of food containing Genetically Modified Organisms, or GMOs.

They are: Bill H.1936, “An Act relative to genetically engineered food”; Bill H.2037, “An Act to establish guidelines for genetically engineered food”; and Bill H.2093 “An Act relative to the labeling of food.”

The hearing will be held by the Joint Committee on Public Health on June 11 at 10 a.m. at the Massachusetts State House, Room A-1.
