Maine Legislature ‘did the right thing’ by passing GMO labeling bill

Maine’s Morning Sentinel published an editorial in support of GMO labeling, writing that “the Maine Legislature did the right thing earlier this year by passing” a labeling bill.

“New labels enter the marketplace all the time, and we should have enough confidence in the consumer to figure out what they mean, and why they matter,” the editors wrote. “States should implement a GMO labeling system, perhaps with a push from the federal government, so that we know exactly what we are buying at the grocery store.”
