There is no scientific evidence of harm from GMOs, whereas the benefits could be huge.
Instead of being destructive , environmentalists and anti-GM groups need to comprehend that there is simply no way to feed the world’s burgeoning population without help from GM crops. Despite what many anti-GM groups say, organic farming is not equal to this task because it simply requires too much land. In other words, to effectively feed not only ourselves but also our grandchildren, we need to turn to GM crops which enhance yields, protect non-agricultural habitat, are resistant to pests and the whims of climate change, and give rise to foods that are safe. Therefore, both morally and economically, the anti-GM foods campaign has little to recommend it.
