What is gene editing and how will it affect our lives? Think of DNA as an instruction manual for living organisms. Gene editing will allow us to modify those instructions in any way we want, from changing eye color to curing leukemia. Humanity has a long history of figuring out ways to modify genes, but gene editing provides us with a great leap forward. Do the benefits outweigh the consequences? Now is the time to debate its use.
