Video: Can blight-resistant GMO trees save the American Chestnut?

The American Chestnut tree used to be a staple in American forests until it essentially became extinct due to blight. Researchers and geneticists at SUNY ESF have found a way to resurrect the American Chestnut through genetic engineering. They are now working on getting the new blight-resistant trees approved by government agencies so they can begin distributing the trees back into the forests.
