In what could be sweet news for the supporters of genetically modified (GM) technology, President Pranab Mukherjee said that the development and introduction of GM crops have the potential to revolutionise agriculture.
โThe concerns over their perceived risks should be addressed by following internationally accepted procedures for assessing safety parameters,โ Mukherjee said addressing the 85th Foundation Day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
