At a recent TEDxRainier talk, author and technologist Ramez Naam discussed the possibility of linking human brains.

Naam, who helped create two of the most widely used pieces of software in the world: Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook, is currently the CEO of Apex Nanotechnologies, which develops software for nanotechnology researchers.

In the video, Naam talks about the current science of sending sights, sounds, and sensations in and out of human brains, and the frontiers of augmenting and transferring memory and intelligence. The talk is a compilation of the very real science that Naam has used in his novels.
