Nigeria: ‘Genetically modified foods safe for humans’

The National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) says consumption of Genetically Modified (GM) foods will not pose any threat to human health as it has not been found to be so in countries where they have been approved. NABDA’s Director General, Prof Bamidele Solomon, who disclosed this in Abuja, said the risks for the novel (GM) foods are the same as for conventional ones.
