GMO protestors would accomplish more by talking to the companies

The following is an excerpt.

t seems that those who are against GEs are against them because of the actions of the companies that manufacture them. People seem to be scared because of the secrecy and growing influence of these companies in communities. The good that these organisms can bring are being overshadowed by the actions of the companies that are manufacturing them.

However, if protesters were to change their stance from wanting to stop GEs to wanting to create a working dialogue with the companies, more could be done. Companies would be able to better understand the dilemmas people have and the people would be able to better understand these innovations. We need to work towards a future where farmers, biotechnology, and consumers work together to better each other.
