How can identical twins–individuals who have the same genes and who grew up in the same family–have such different lives?  They don’t just have different personalities. Identical twins often have different lifespans and different occurrences of genetically-linked diseases.  In a new book on genetics, Professor Tim Spector, head of twin research at King’s College, London,  explores the ways in which epigenetic changes create real and heritable differences in identical twin pairs.
