The star of the season is Dole’s new Colada Royale™ Pineapple, developed through 15 years of traditional breeding techniques. [Grown] with care at Dole’s oldest Latin American farm in La Ceiba, Honduras, it offers a lighter golden exterior and creamy interior. Its most striking feature is a flavor reminiscent of piña coladas, with subtle hints of coconut that balance sweetness with a tropical tang.

Beyond taste, the Colada Royale™ delivers nutritional benefits that set it apart. Each serving provides 2.5 times more vitamin B6 than typical pineapple, supporting brain and immune health, aiding metabolism and contributing to overall vitality. 

The fruit officially [debuted] at the IFPA Global Produce and Floral Show that takes place from October 16 to October 18, 2025, and the pineapple will be available at select supermarkets across North America soon after.
