Hawaii farmers, ranchers: ‘We are under attack from a vocal minority’

Farmers, ranchers and floral and nursery growers have written a letter to the Hawaii County Council, urging them to vote no on Hawaii County’s anti-GMO Bill 113. “We are under attack for using a tool–biotechnology–that is regulated and approved for use,” the letter states. The letter stresses the safety of genetically modified crops and reiterates that all food and plants grown on the island are regulated by state and federal laws.

We ask you to use facts, not the unfounded fear that is spread across the Internet, to form your opinions about what we do.
