Podcast: Part II of organic grower Jack’s Farm Radio interview with GLP’s Jon Entine

JacksFarmRadio

Daniel Heckler is a USDA certified organic vegetable farmer in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and host of the food and farming show Jack’s Farm Radio. In part one of a two part interview posted on the GLP last week, Heckler interviewed Jon Entine from the Genetic Literacy Project on genetically modified farming.

Now, in part II of his interview, Dan and Jon discuss the safety concerns surrounding GM foods, the contentious debate over labeling and the views of journalist and organic advocate Michael Pollan and Gary Hirshberg, founder of Stonyfield Organic and head of Just Label It. Jon discusses the legitimate concerns about the potential environmental impacts of using GMO’s and addresses the controversy from a health perspective.
