‘Purging corrupt influences’: Anti-vax conspiracist RFK, Jr. claims Trump has designated him to select leaders of FDA, NIH and CDC

[Robert F Kennedy Jr.], who abandoned his independent bid for the presidency to join Trump’s transition team in late August, alongside fellow ex-Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, told MAGA commentator Tucker Carlson that in a future administration, he would be tasked with purging “corrupt influences” from the agencies to “drain the swamp.”

Kennedy Jr.’s fringe views on health and vaccinations are well documented, even coming up in a recorded call with Trump before he decided to switch to the Republican campaign.

Agencies named by Kennedy Jr. during a Wisconsin stop on Carlson’s live tour Tuesday included the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Kennedy Jr. told the host: “President Trump has asked me specifically to do two things. One, to help unravel the capture of the agencies by corrupt influence. In other words, to drain the swamp. And, you know, I had to say something about President Trump.”

Carlson laughed … at the prospect: “You think they’re gonna… I mean, they have nightmares about that.”
