Kennedy Jr. said [May 27] that he may bar government scientists from publishing in the worldโs leading medical journals, instead proposing the creation of โin-houseโ publications by his agency โ the latest in the Trump administrationโs attacks on scientific institutions.

Kennedy also accused several of the agencies under the Department of Health and Human Services โ including the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services โ of being โsock puppetsโ for the pharmaceutical industry.
