Daskalakis: Right now, looking at CDC, it is pretty irreparably damaged.
[My] simple answer is that federal public health has now been compromised—it has been taken over by ideology, it’s been weaponized. If you look at the CDC website, the “About” webpage is literally propaganda around extremely partisan views. My advice to the world is that we should practice detachment from the organizations and focus on the mission.
